man vs boy

i was a boy then that make much mistake

haven't really grow out of the shell but i am more experience now in handle situation

boy need time to grow and to have enough experience to mature or man up..

suit tie Jaclyn Auletta

A girl is attracted to boys. A woman is attracted to men. Now, this has nothing to do with the actual age of a person. I’m referring to maturity, life vision and stage of life. In fact, some people regardless of their age, will never really grow up. You can switch the genders in this post and most points would likely still apply. Or, read this post on “The 11 Differences Between Dating a Girl vs a Woman“.
If you are a girl (lack independence, are ruled by insecurity, lack self-respect, throw tantrums, have princess syndrome, don’t have strong values or boundaries and can’t hold yourself on your own) then expect that you will attract only boys. However, if you are a woman (independent, ambitious, knows your worth and value, has a strong moral compass, is considerate and an able communicator and doesn’t let insecurity dominate your psyche), then you should be dating a man. And if you can’t spot the difference just yet, here are some pointers.
  1. A man knows what he wants, and goes for it. A boy may have somewhat of an idea, but not really. He doesn’t think too much about it, and even if he does, doesn’t exert much effort to get it. A boy is passive, a man is assertive.
  2. A man plans for his future and is working towards building a foundation and infrastructure in order to have a family (at some point in his life).  A boy lives only in the moment and his plans are mostly around which bar he’s going to hit up on the weekend.
  3. A man looks for a woman with intelligence, who is supportive, grounded and encompasses a shared set of values when choosing a partner. A boy cares mostly only for girls who are hot, wild and exciting.
  4. A man knows a good woman when he meets one and will take initiative to get to know her. A boy may make an attempt if you’re lucky, but gives up before ever really trying.
  5. A man has the courage to have uncomfortable conversations. He is honest with his intentions and lets people know where they stand. A boy avoids. He ignores confrontation or any serious talks about feelings. Instead of dealing with a situation, he runs away from it or creates drama or excuses to mask the fact he’s not that into you or a relationship.
  6. A man knows when to invest in a woman and jump in with two feet. A boy is always “testing” – he doesn’t fully commit because he never knows if he is quite ready. But the truth is, because he is a boy, regardless of who he meets, he will never be ready due to the stage of life he is in.
  7. A man knows how to have a good time and be social, but is often busy making strides in his career and building his life. A boy is getting crunk with his buddies at the bar every weekend.
  8. A man takes the time to reflect on the type of man he wants to be, the example he wants to leave and the vision for his life. He has put thought into his values. A boy has not established his moral compass or values and consequently, is often inconsistent.
  9. A man has integrity. He means what he says, and says what he means. He has follow through and actions his promises. And if he can’t he has the guts to tell you why. A boy makes promises but doesn’t follow through.
  10. A man is afraid of rejection but will put himself out there anyway. A boy is afraid of rejection and acts passive so that his pride and ego won’t ever get too banged up.
  11. Now, a lot of these differences require taking the time to know someone to figure out if the apple of your eye is indeed a man, or a mere boy. However, one of the quickest filters that you can notice from the beginning is this:
     A boy plays games. A man doesn’t.

despite the many ideas or values that i share

i remain firm on one that thing i am a mean person

mean for the guilty things that i have not completed in the nicest manner possible

i had bunch of employees talking crap behind my back.. which i don't really care much.. simply put because i felt both party do not share the same direction..

i would like to remain my private things to only myself

and of course for the people that i have hurt

i remain guilty as charge and no, i need not earn any forgiveness

everyone else i don't really owe them any explanation

they just like to run their mouth as if they know everything.. like our politician ministers

talk for the sake of noise pollution

These things that get in my brain so much... i just want to remain private.. very private on many other things.. opening up to certain people

that probably is the biggest impact that change some of my view...

i don't seek standing out or being that green apple

i just want to make something out of my life privately and as low profile as possible

to the many people that i did not approve your facebook thing.. is because i do not want to keep in touch via facebook beside not wanting people to know more about me

i don't update my facebook nor do i like to take pictures... i only share my thoughts via blogspot.. because this is where it all took place and this is where i find my peace

in business i am a serious and a very aggressive man.. nothing stops me and i am very hardworking and determine

personally i would like to remain as private as possible and as low profile as possible

its been really a while since i buy anything for myself.. no new shoes, no new clothes... not anything.. i don't feel like buying anything as well...

i dont feel like putting an argument, or voice my opinion nor do i feel like going out for a movie or anything.. i prefer to stay at home and watch dvd.. or maybe learn mahjong.. anything that make me stay indoor

if it is an outdoor thing.. i prefer isolating thing like fishing or simply going overseas..

why oh why the changes??

things that matter no longer matter

priority has change

perspective and view has change

held a conversation with some individual lately... he spoke of his frustration about being a citizen of Malaysia

i don't even understand why is he so angry about

this is my take...

after what has took place recently... i began to realize my role in this country called Malaysian

i am a Malaysian by name that holds a Malaysian passport.. that's it.. nothing more

i am here in this country to consume its resources and put it into my favour.. to either make me rich or make myself feeling good..

if i cant put the situation into my favour, this is nothing more than a lame duck country to me..

i am proud of myself individually not linking myself too much with the country of course..

so if you feel you are being marginalize or being treated unfair also you feel living here in Malaysia is very tough.. you should consider leaving it.. because it doesn't favour you... if you are not capable of doing anything.. voicing anger out really waste time and energy because there's no solution to it.. might as well take the time and energy to do something else

like treat the other half better, think of something special and touching

work to earn extra money

attend classes/seminar/courses to improve oneself

but many choose to sit around a round table and just talk about rubbish.. something wish i find at times annoying.. unless that friend is someone you have not seen for a long time.. then maybe just catch up.. to do it every week?? or bi weekly??

anyway different opinion.. different individual

2013 is drawing to an end..

i cant summarize this year in a paragraph..

but i knew so long as i keep my vision clear and keep on working hard.. i will be ok

i just came back from China..

i attend the exhibition, visit factory and also explore many other business opportunities.. i spend a whole week there

it is in China one would realize what does survivor of the fittest means

1) you don't walk slow

2) you should be aggressive in sales

3) marketing is very important

4) you need to stand out to be competitive

5) discipline and hard work is very important

i can say i'm impress... i don't really like China but i am impress with their working attitude..

***********************************************

i recently also talk to a very smart and successful man.. he share with me ideas on how to get rich.. especially on property

he taught me this theory

some says to get rich you need to learn how to save

some says to get rich you need to learn how to earn

all this are not wrong but it doesn't work.. no rich man has ever documented story about how they earn or save to be a billionaire

you need to be smart and learn magic.. money come out of nowhere.. that's how getting rich is done

i press further, he gave me one good example

normal people buy property to rent or buy-and-sell concept..

that require long time..

to get more money you would need to know about flip sale, lock sale, group sale, holding sale, and also fire sale all this with the adequate research

of course we cant really search this on the internet as its term create by this guy however what i learn from him trigger something in me.. telling me there are so many different aspect of a story then just buy and sell

**********************************************

life is not about creating an empire or have a mountain or billions of dollars.. but about life satisfaction..

we live once, why don't we push the envelope and see how far we can go.. stay stagnant and comfortable is of course ideal but even our mentor teaches us, life is a constant change and learning is something constant.. why stay stagnant?

even goku became a super saiyan

the attitude of our ancestor or parent is by going all the way out.. not just to make end meets.. but to make something out of nothing

not just be a consumer

dear employee, dear employer

Dear employer,

I would like to ask for pay raise as money is not enough.. with the fuel going up, it causes many other things to go up as well.. the salary that you have provided me is starting to feel inadequate. Beside a higher salary would means a happier employee and a happier employee would help your company to earn much more money. Higher salary or incentive would give me more energy to go that extra mile for you too.

i think company should take good care of its staff, with that extra benefit. Other big company is doing it too. my friend told me IBM is giving very good staff benefit, same as petronas and also samsung company. You also start to give me task that is hard to handle, you also should lead by example. I see you so free every time.. just sit behind the desk and only entertain certain customer while i have to work and sweat for your company. You know a good leader should lead by example not just give instructions. Your target is so high, if i can help your company to achieve target all by myself i might as well be my own boss.

********************************************************************

Dear employee,

I employ you to help me solve my problem if i can solve it myself why would i need you around? when i employ you, you are given specific task with that specific salary so asking for more because you feel tired or need that extra boost is not under our agreement, that is your attitude problem. To give you specific task and higher target simply because i would like to see how far is your capability, this is to ease my decision whenever i would like to promote someone.

Each company have different vision, mission, objective etc. you cannot compare as its not apple to apple. Bringing up silly judgement sometimes make you look stupid and not smart. Every individual has their own task, that include employee and employer of all level, questioning the task also gain yourself another point for stupidity.

by the way you asking for higher salary, have you ever ask what have you done so significant/out standing that you deserve a pay raise? simply because you have work a few years or because you complete your task?

*****************************************************************************

both will never see eye to eye on many things because of different view and also mind set...

whenever i sit around people that begin to rant about their company and talk about going for the human resource department to sue their boss.. makes me shake my head

i got summon to Jabatan Buruh recently.. and have to make appearances on court recently...

it is until i step into the court i realize.. i stupid the whole thing is.. the judge have not much clue on the law, the employee is even worse... and because i am the employer, i get to manipulate so many things

seriously, when you rant and talk about sue someone ass off.. those crap, do a bit of homework before you run your rant.. it really makes you look stupid.. just because people do not counter your opinion doesn't mean they agree with you and think you are smart.. they are merely sitting back wanting to enjoy the show you are bound to create..

Malaysia to spend a staggering US$50 billion to develop its rail network over the next 7 years which includes the Singapore to Kuala Lumpur high-speed rail and an urban mass rapid transit system

This was found in a singapore web laughing at Malaysia.. lol

That's why Malaysian politician are so rich.. learn from them.. sucking money from it's people without the people making any noise.. that is what i call discipline that Singaporean still have to learn.. talking about rigid rules..

Malaysian government can do anything without any objection..

they can take down temple in stating that temple is a shrine and not a temple..

the way i look at it.. everywhere else in the world breed smart people.. we breed idiots..

putting Malaysia in the laughing stock map..

i hope the retard level continue to grow..

so then the smart people will become a leech and drain the money off those idiots..

more funny jokes to be updated.. :)

The announcement, due on Saturday, comes as Najib faces a ruling party leadership contest next month. — Reuters pic

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 11 — Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak will announce measures this weekend to boost the economic role of majority ethnic Malays, signalling a reversal of earlier pledges to roll back race-based policies that have stunted the country’s competitiveness.
The announcement, due on Saturday, comes as Najib faces a possible ruling party leadership contest next month. It also follows an election in May in which his coalition, in power since independence from Britain in 1957, was overwhelmingly rejected by minority ethnic Chinese voters.
“I will soon announce a comprehensive policy to encourage Bumiputera participation in the economy,” Najib said on his official Twitter page on Wednesday.
The initiatives will cover equity ownership, business, “human capital” and social and economic development, the state-controlled New Straits Times cited senior officials as saying. He will also announce steps, the report said, to strengthen state institutions that promote the economic role of Malays, also known as Bumiputeras, or “sons of the soil”.
Abdul Wahid Omar, a minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, was quoted as saying there could also be steps to create more opportunities for Malays in the private sector and to boost their ownership of commercial property.
“A recurring issue is the lack of employment opportunities for Bumiputeras in the private sector, especially at the executive level,” he said.
Affirmative action privileges were put in place in the early 1970s to improve the lot of Malays, who make up around 60 per cent of the 28 million population, are historically poorer and traditionally live in rural areas.
Minority ethnic Chinese, about a quarter of the population, are wealthier and still dominate business and the economy.
After he took the country’s top job in 2009, Najib cast himself as a moderniser who would roll back the privileges that have deterred investment and alienated minority Chinese and ethnic Indians. He has also pledged to base government assistance more strongly on needs than on race.
But those plans have largely failed to advance due to stiff resistance from within the ruling, ethnic Malay United Malays National Organisation (UMNO).
Najib was further weakened by May’s election, in which the ruling coalition lost the popular vote and saw its parliamentary majority shrink.
The result, contested by the opposition, exposed a deepening divide between Malays and ethnic Chinese and was seen as leaving Najib more dependent on support from UMNO traditionalists, such as influential former prime minister Mahathir Mohamad.
For four decades, ethnic Malays have benefitted from race-based policies ranging from quotas for university admissions to preferential entry to the civil service and guaranteed minimum levels of equity ownership.
The government has a long-standing goal of increasing the Bumiputera share of equity wealth to 30 per cent, from the most recent official figure of 23 per cent.
Critics say the policy has mostly benefitted wealthy, well-connected Malays more than the poor majority, while also contributing to a massive “brain drain” of ethnic Chinese who leave Malaysia for opportunities elsewhere.

for four decade bumiputera has benefit from the race base policy but still stuck in the shit hole.. i saw many chinese however depending on themselves doing really well...
so if you are a chinese but is not doing too well.. u need to think what is wrong with u
for bumiputera.. you are already in the wrong mentality... u r born disable, having the disability to thrive and work hard

i call this cognitive dissonance problem

it's not a god thing

according to wikipedia

"In psychology, cognitive dissonance is the discomfort experienced when simultaneously holding two or more conflicting cognitions: ideas, beliefs, values or emotional reactions. In a state of dissonance, people may sometimes feel "disequilibrium": frustration, hunger, dread, guilt, anger, embarrassment, anxiety, etc.[1] The phrase was coined by Leon Festinger in his 1956 bookWhen Prophecy Fails, which chronicled the followers of a UFO cult as reality clashed with their fervent belief in an impending apocalypse.[2][3] Festinger subsequently (1957) published a book called A Theory of Cognitive Dissonance in which he outlines the theory. Cognitive dissonance is one of the most influential and extensively studied theories in social psychology.
The theory of cognitive dissonance in social psychology proposes that people have a motivational drive to reduce dissonance by altering existing cognitions, adding new ones to create a consistent belief system, or alternatively by reducing the importance of any one of the dissonant elements.[1] Cognitive dissonance is the distressing mental state that people feel when they "find themselves doing things that don't fit with what they know, or having opinions that do not fit with other opinions they hold."[4] A key assumption is that people want their expectations to meet reality, creating a sense of equilibrium.[5] Likewise, another assumption is that a person will avoid situations or information sources that give rise to feelings of uneasiness, or dissonance.[1]
Cognitive dissonance theory explains human behavior by positing that people have a bias to seek consonance between their expectations and reality. According to Festinger, people engage in a process he termed "dissonance reduction," which can be achieved in one of three ways: lowering the importance of one of the discordant factors, adding consonant elements, or changing one of the dissonant factors.[6] This bias sheds light on otherwise puzzling, irrational, and even destructive behavior."

Most people tend to have this problem. Open up for improvement and never to say never, i always believe that so long you put your mind to it, nothing is impossible.

Don't let false beliefs about yourself or your wolrd hold you back from growing. If you define yourself or others through their negative qualities, which all of us have; you will bring these to the forefront in your interactions with them and miss the full picture.

a good example of cognitive dissonance, grape that is not eaten is forever sour..

cracking knuckles

A joint is the point at which two (or more) bones meet. Ligaments connect the bones to one another, and a joint capsule surrounds the whole thing. It is filled with a natural lubricant called synovial fluid that helps the joint move smoothly. When you make the motion to crack your knuckles, the joint is pulled apart, expanding the capsule. This decreases the pressure inside the capsule, forcing gasses dissolved in the synovial fluid to release into the space to equalize it. That rush of gas causes the pop! sound-so satisfying to you, so annoying to everyone else in the room. It's like popping the top on a can of soda.
It takes about 30 minutes for the carbon dioxide, nitrogen and oxygen to dissolve back into the synovial fluid. That's why you have to wait a while before you can get a second pop.
Cracking your knuckles feels good because it stretches the joint and stimulates the nerve endings found there. Can it be dangerous? Well, while it's unlikely that knuckle cracking can do the cartilage damage that leads to arthritis, it can lead to instability in the joint and loss of grip strength and hand function.

回憶是後鏡裡的公路

回憶是後鏡裡的公路
歌手:謝霆鋒 作曲:Francis Wai 填詞:李敏 編曲:Gary Tong

be effective

Find a model and emulate it
Whatever you want to get good at, find someone who can do it better and model yourself on them
"No matter what the task, if someone else can do it faster or better I would go to them to do it. If someone said invest in ten properties, I'm not going to talk to a guy at a barbecue with one property … I'm going to find the guru and do exactly what he's done," Mr Khoury said.
"Trying to work it out yourself is a complete waste of time. It takes years to work it out which causes slow growth and slow wealth acceleration. Talking to these people can save you years of time and effort."
Don't be afraid to be stupid
Plenty of people miss out on great information because they have too much pride to ask basic questions. Mr Khoury said you need to keep asking until you get the answers you want - after all, it's usually a great source of free advice.
"If you want to start moving to the next level you have to start associating with people who are better off than you. If you are the dumbest person in the room you always get more answers than the person who pretends to know it all."
Delegate everything
Most people are extremely good at what they do. The problem is they try to control everything and get bogged down in day-to-day activities which leaves them with no headspace for anything else.
"Trying to control every aspect of creating wealth is exhausting. You need to let go. You must find other people to do all the work for you."
Instead, you should act as if you could get hit by a bus and things would continue ticking along without you.
"No answering e-mails, no putting out spot fires, not handling the mail, you need to be extra lazy and do nothing. The person who can walk away from day-to-day duties will truly experience financial success and spend their time working on new opportunities and strategies that will take the business to the next level," he said.
Don't get analysis paralysis
Obsessing over business plans and minute details will get you nowhere. You need to take a calculated risk and go for it.
"I have never ever had a business plan. I look at the worst case scenario and what sales I need to break even. That is it," he said.
Mr Khoury said social media can be particularly bad for businesses as you can spend hours blogging, tweeting, doing SEO and creating webinars without actually doing anything effective.
Network
Once a week I will meet someone I know for lunch. Not once have I walked away from that meeting not learning something new. If you stay in your business all day and all you see is those four walls, you will lose sight of what is happening in the marketplace and what new technologies there are out there to make your business more efficient.

who say getting all A guarantee success

they teach you to follow the system that the cronies make... so cronies will get richer...

thats what make me puke after listening and knowing how government works with their "people"

and that's how my friend got that 5 million project handed to him. Oh yeah, earning at least 70% from the project

in order to grow, financially or mentally.. sometimes you need to overcome hurdles

sometimes you make the jump, sometimes you don't

it's the learning process that is important though

without failure or mistake we would have never grow

but its also through that i have learn my mistakes and lessons

sometime it hurts, sometime it burns

in regards you need to take the bump...

i'm glad in a way i'm taking the bump before its too late

though i could have prevented the mistakes..

lol

laugh at my own silliness and being too naive

get carried away by "information" from friend

motivating lesson

When you think of different people and all the different circumstances, it may seem as though some are unstoppable while other consumed by fear.
You may even notice that some people don’t know how to loose, while some have never experienced victory. What is it that differentiates people and their full potential. Are people really that different? Is our DNA Pre Programmed to make us successful while others don’t share such luxuries?
When looking back at my own life, many would agree that it seemed that I was not destined for greatness or even success. I was born to a single mother who often was very absent due to her heavy work-load and need to provide for us, I did poorly in school and hardly got A’s as my capacity for information was somewhat bad.
On top of all that, I wasn’t athletic nor had any interest in sports which meant that I certainly wasn’t going to go to college on a scholarship and finally, no one in my family had extra money to help me start anything. The worst part of it was that it seemed that no matter what I did, I simply couldn’t find anything that moved me or made me passionate enough to want to do something.
So what can you do to become unstoppable if you are not really particularly good at anything, and don’t like learning?

LESSON 1: BE GREAT AT EVERYTHING YOU HAVE TO DO!

When I turned 14, I didn’t have the right to work legally and didn’t have transportation to use other than the bus system. Despite my inability to work a typical job in a retail setting, I still applied for employment everywhere else. Many rejected me because of my age, while others simply said my social security number wasn’t valid. It wasn’t until I saw 2 sales guys offering employment to students, that someone gave me a fair shot at making a few bucks.
The job was nothing more than being a telemarketer and paid $12/hr plus commissions. My school permit allowed me to work limited hours and so everyday would take the bus 20 miles away from home to work as a telemarketer. Many in the office felt their job didn’t matter and therefore worked maybe 1 full hour the whole time they were there.
Multitasking businessman
The rest of the time was spent chatting or mocking client’s names, and while believe me I would have loved to join; I didn’t have the luxury of losing my job as I knew how hard it was for me to even have the opportunity to work. I didn’t have a niche for selling, nor any training and my communication skills were at best average but I knew one thing early on, that the only way I would be able to perform my job well would be to keep calling clients until I got the hang of how to actually turn every call into a sale.
The average telemarketer in that office called 25-35 clients in the 3 hours they worked. I called over a 100. Through calling and trying various ways to not get hanged up on, I figured a few tricks that helped me convert leads into clients and I would soon become the top sales person by the age of 15. My secret was simply overcoming the fear of failing through repetition practice and as I look back today, I didn’t do a single thing more than just doing my job well.
This lead me to eventually collect $2500 weekly in commissions rather than worry about my $12/hr. Years past and my telemarketing job became an office manager one, followed by director of sales and finally on the path to becoming unstoppable where I became the GM of an entire company by the age of 18.

LESSON 2: BREAK YOUR COMFORT ZONE IN ORDER TO GROW.

What do you do at the age of 18 when you are making $80,000 a year and sitting in an office all day telling others what to do? Well, you quit!
Since I realized that selling windows, roofing and decks wasn’t what I wanted to do with my life, and I certainly didn’t want to work 60-80 hrs a week, I decided that the time to take a pay cut and go learn something new was then.
I quit and found myself applying at banks. Partly because I had a desire to learn all about lending and investments and partly because I wanted shorter hours.  Since I was making a very high salary for being so young, finding something close was going to be near impossible.
Teamwork and success concept
How did I still manage to land a bank manger job at 18?
I leveraged myself based on skills and looked for a loophole. Back in the year 2000, banks were experimenting with other channels of banking like having banks in supermarket, malls and other interesting locations that catered to a very unique demographic.
Those locations were used solely to acquire new clients and expose the bank’s brand to certain communities, and therefore what they required where managers with strong sales backgrounds. All I had to do was tailor my resume and apply.
After 4 interviews, I finally landed a great role in a great bank at the age of 18, all while losing 30% of my salary so that I could learn and expand my knowledge rather than my wallet.

LESSON 3:  FIND OPPORTUNITIES WHERE OTHERS SEE CHALLENGES.

It wasn’t until a year went by in my banking career and that I had decided to leave the banking field because I hated the work that a unique opportunity came into my life. The opportunity to make an effort was that unique opportunity.
Many will argue that it certainly had no relevance to opportunity but I would argue that opportunities are presented to us everyday and it is only those we identify with that become our opportunities, rather than generalizations of the word opportunity.
I met a man named Ahmad whose showed me a unique way to look at banking, rather than a career or work, he simply allowed me to understand what banking really was. All he asked in exchange was for my times directly reporting to him, in exchange for him showing me how to make my days count.
At this point my intentions were already to quit but Ahmad had different plans for me as he felt my potential had barely been tapped into. I agreed to go work for him without more pay but rather the opportunity to learn.
Overcome the difficulties
He certainly wasn’t like others I had met, he drove nicer cars, lived in larger homes and spent on leisure lavishly for someone of his salary. Curiosity got the best of me and before I knew it, I embarked on a new journey. The next year of my life transformed me from worker to thinker and allowed me to understand the power of great leadership and the importance of time management. I also learned quite a bit about residual revenue models.
The real difference here was that I went from wanting to quit a boring job, to instead finding new reasons to love what I did, and actually got a better sense of what I loved doing.  This was a critical point for me when I woke up and felt like I re aligned my actions with my goals and therefore my confidence shot up to the roof.
The opportunity that I took was the one within myself, the one that was always there. Many relate opportunity to money and often overlook the fact that opportunity come in different shapes and forms, and one that is even more so overlooked is the opportunity to simply be exposed to greatness.

LESSON 4: SAY WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO DO, AND DO IT!

How many times do you hear from your friends or from family about their goals and ambitions? How often do you hear those around you make promises that in 3 years, they will have X car or in 2 years they will leave in Y place. Perhaps, you yourself have made such mistakes. So many times do these promises go unfilled to one’s self.
We all like to dream big and are all always reminded that dreaming too big means we ll never reach our goals. On the other hand, many others will tell you that setting your goals too low also means you ll reach them too fast and become complacent.
While we do all have a story, the one we live in and create as we go currently, we all also have what I call fantasy endings to our own stories. We all want to live amazing lifestyles, be around greatness and leave a legacy behind but very few of us succeed.
When I started writing my own story growing through the ranks of a bank, I found myself faced with a dilemma that many seemed to not understand. It is perhaps a dilemma many of you will be faced with as well or have already been exposed to. I wanted a 911 Turbo.  I used to have this client who was in her 70s and came in to see me and show me her new 911 Turbo.
Proud Businessman
She gave me a unique opportunity to drive it after we went outside to see it. Being barely 21 and trusted with the keys to my dream car for a test drive came with a promise to myself that I would have one by the age of 30.
When I felt the carbon fiber steering wheel, and witnessed the navi turn on with the Porsche crest, I knew then that owning a 911 turbo was within my “must do” on my list, but I had a realistic time frame of 8-10 years to do it. I simply felt that if she did it by 70, I could do it by 30 knowing what I knew then. Many said I should stop dreaming and many reminded me that I wouldn’t be able to do so on a banking salary.
Many were right but I was determined to get my dream car in a few years. A few years came much earlier than I expected, 2 years after that promise I found myself in a position to buy the exact car I wanted and did so.
My following goal was to upgrade to a Lamborghini within 2 years. Another goal that I did reach only 1 month shy of my own timeline despite really no longer wanting it by the time I got it.
You see, what differentiates those who become the unstoppable designers of their own destiny are those that become slaves to their circumstance is your ability to do what you say you are going to do, regardless of who you say it to including yourself. The more you stick to your word, the bigger the promises you make become and you tend to reach them.

LESSON 5:  INVEST EVERYTHING IN SELF-BELIEF

In the Third Circle Theory, I break down the core of belief and where it originates from but also how you can tweak your own belief system to help you grow in just about everything you do. Henry Ford also said “that you believe you can or cant, you certainly are right” and he meant it when he chose to re engineer the way we think of transportation.
Self Belief is also what allowed Steve Jobs to take on Microsoft from his garage when many others felt that Microsoft was simply too big to go against. I myself encountered much resistance when I told those around me that I wanted to start a business whose mission was not to make money. I even got more resistance when I told them I wanted to take on the education system by offering content that is useful and from experience rather than from textbooks.
Every direction my life has taken has been as a result of a leap of faith but not one that involved a religious belief but rather the belief in myself.
Money and success
Investing in yourself is the single greatest step you can take to becoming unstoppable and the last step you must master to living in the Third Circle.
As simple as it may seem on the surface, it certainly isn’t but believing in yourself enables you to transform your journey from ordinary to extraordinary and push the boundaries of what other deem possible.
Once you tap into your very own potential, you start to understand your capacity and how to apply it to just about everything around you.  When I invested in myself back in 2004 and 2005 and started a consulting agency as well as a very successful concierge service, I didn’t know anything about either industries but I knew the power that I held as an individual to never give up.
Fast forward 5 years and many will tell you that our success was attributed to the core belief that our team never gave up knowing from the very beginning that they could never fail, but only learn.
