oct 9 (ii)

and i slowly began to realize and understand how some people make money

its really not about needing that money but about making it

i came across an article about definition of society

there's the

ultra poor - like really poor

poor - daily allowances for daily uses

average - average wage earner

there's the 5 c average - the average that own a condo, a car, have credit card, career, and i don't remember whats next, with bank having figure reaching 6 figures

millionaire - the one that make its first pot of gold with bank having money reaching 7 figures

multi millionaire - the one that has net worth 10 M and above

ultra rich - those that has net worth of exceeding 100 M

the billionaire - this is of course the top of the food chain which is occupied by many of our politician and its cronies

we all start from ground zero.. assuming, some are luckier start of rich as the rich second generation

where u end up, sometimes give you that sense of achievement

some do, some don't feel that

to elevate the quality of life which unfortunately in Malaysia the quality is good also not any better

but to thrive in such hostile environment.. where as a Chinese we have the total disadvantage and yet still make it anywhere from being a millionaire and above.. just make you feel, life is interesting

because you able to utilize your strength to the full and capitalize on your life to make something

some call it the American dream

i call it.. life

because we man, because man and woman are still playing different role here in Malaysia

Man tend to have 4 stages in life, each stages last around 25 years

the first stage is about carefree, learning, experiencing, preparing

while the second stages come into utilizing what you have learn, experience and prepare in the first stage and build something out of it

After spreading my network for the past 10 months in order to boost or expand to other opportunities, i began to see some fruits.. its tiny small fruits but at least there's starting to show some replies

i have people coming in asking to invest on business opportunities, ranging from

cars : which seriously i think is a downhill thing unless its distributing AP

food franchise : food thing is always complex

healthy drinks in cambodia : South east asia market is very huge and anything that involve cambodia, vietnam, indonesia, myanmar is a must go not to travel but to open the road

bars / clubs : huge investment but with reaping reward if it works out

beauty : my strength

then of course before one do anything, one should try to indulge a little bit to get the vibe

i spoke to a person today and i share one philosophy of mine. what is consider work or what is then consider business.

a tiring work is define when you are putting a lot of effort but is not reaping the reward u thought could be higher, that is tiring

a happy work is where you put little effort but with huge reward

nothing is impossible only there will be a catch

a business is only a business if you do not indulge fully into it

all good business like the vending machine, the chatime franchise, the electronics like samsung.. the boss is not there selling these.. if they are, then it is not consider a business

mine is taking too much of my time and effort.. though the reward is justifiable.. i want to take it to another level

i still feel my time could and should contribute into something else.. to either earn more, relax or improve the quality of my life

i want to make something out of nothing

to get away and out from that ordinary get up-go to work-back from work

to make magic and work interesting

is the a future to non-malay

Is there a FUTURE for non-Malays in Malaysia ... seriously...

My Malay buddy texted me: "Would you comment as a non-Malay, in particular Chinese, how you see future of non-Malays, especially Chinese, with the likes of Perkasa, Jati, Jimm around and even Umno becoming more rightist. Also with country appearing to becoming more Malay as well as Malay population increasing while non-Malay population decreasing? Will not name you, of course."
He's a columnist just like me and he needed my response to help him put together a piece on the sorry state of race relations in the country. So I rang him up and offered him my opinion.
"Must be a hard time you Chinese are facing eh?" he said before assuring me he would not use my name in his column.
"Why not?" I asked. "Because the other non-Malay friends I asked would only speak on condition they remain anonymous." I reminded him my principle is that if I have an opinion I would say it upfront without the need to remain nameless. Otherwise I have no opinions to offer. "But that will look funny because yours will be the only opinion with a name, the rest would remain anonymous," he protested.
Not intending to sound Quixotic, I told him if one feels strongly about expressing an opinion, he or she should put his or her name to it. Otherwise, it's better not to say anything. The only exception is that if by doing so endangers someone else's life. Freedom of expression comes with a price. If it doesn't command a price then it's just cheap talk. Only fools do that.
Problem is not the Malays in general, but the Malays who are racist and there are many
The problem is not with the Malays. They have never been a problem. I have always lived in a mixed neighbourhood since young counting Malays as friends. When I was in Form Five, my good friend was a Malay who lived in Kampung Baru. Surely you can't find anyone more Malay than that. When I entered university on the first day of the May 13 riots, my room-mate was a Malay. During Ramadan, I attempted to fast with him but I didn't last the distance. Chinese just can't fast as well as Malays can.
But make no mistakes about it. There are Malay racists in this country. You see them in the news everyday. Though they seem to be growing more and more through the years, there's no empirical evidence for me to say Malays are becoming increasingly racist. My experience is that there are more Malays who would likely to be for me than against me. Likewise, there are also non-Malay racists. You see them in the news too.
So we have to live with this problem of perception. Is there a solution?
Non-Malays have suffered tremendously
Some say we may as well pack up and leave. I did just that more than twenty over years ago. But we came back from Australia after our only daughter graduated and started working.
There's no place like home. And Malaysia is home. One can't leave home forever. The prodigal son returns some day. Migration, after all, is an elitist proposition. Only the professionals with skills to offer or those rich enough qualify for migration. The rest remain behind for better or for worse. But they still have a choice – to be at peace or at war with their Malay neighbours.
Non-Malays have suffered tremendously because of racist policies. Malays too have suffered if not more from such flawed policies based solely on race. The injustice seems only more cruel to them simply because they are supposed to be the beneficiaries of such policies.
Racism has produced a distorted economy that will continue to drag Malaysia down to the ranks of among the failed states. More racist policies will not benefit anyone, least of all the Malays. We are all stakeholders. Time to say no to racism.

have a good talk with a few Phd friends in the library earlier... they are of course someone who is much smarter in terms of intellectual compare to me..

one of them show us a video clip on how police force were use to kick Chinese out of their houses

one of them angrily and said how Malaysian Chinese were treated like dogs and doesn't seems to have a place in this country

well silly boy, we do have a place in this country. I mean dogs and cats live in this country too.. like those rats and animals, it's just unless you are the chosen one by birth to carry the title bumiputera, you are these animals... lol

the issue i have to deal on the lips of many people seems to revolve around cost of living getting high, bad government, economic is doing bad, property price going high...

worry too much that at times you forget to do good yourself.. have aim yourself and just work towards your goals.. don't have to worry too much on any other things...

Things in Malaysia is very expensive... everybody knew that.. but who call you to simply buy things in Malaysia?

if you want something so bad, after buying it don't bitch about it then..

what the future holds for us Malaysian? some people cant even figure out their own future and you want to worry about Malaysia's future.. lol

but of course don't make too many goals else you will lose focus and eventually not succeeding in achieving any of it..

my colleague told me a story today

i listen...

he stated how he thinks certain woman are dumb in their brain.. i asked why

he tells me how a girl who is already 29 but actually still thinks she is in her early 20's and still want to play the "field"

we laugh

not that there's any wrong but have she look at how those young girls look like?

but that's not the point.. looks is one thing..

character and attitude is so much more important above everything else..

it doesn't matter how rich or poor the family is the girl from

or what education level she is in.. so long of course she is not stupid / retard

it also does not matter how pretty she looks so long she looks okay

but if she got some crazy attitude or character that is of different frequency from the partner.. it's going to be hard to click

i agree with one statement that life is not about looking for that perfect guy or girl but about experiencing magic together

i already 29 and is nearing 30.. basically if i were to live until 80, i'm in the second quarter of my life..

work has consume a huge part of my life since i'm 20 right up to now..

i want to make work more interesting and life more magical

plastic surgery

This is the face that is most requested for in Asian plastic surgery clinics
Apparently, Korean actress Song Hye Kyo's face is the most requested among women intending to undergo plastic surgery.
According to an article in Soompi, on September 27, Y-Star's programme "Other Questions" featured confessions about women and plastic surgery.
It also explored the analysis and attitudes of women on plastic surgery among the three Northeast Asian countries Korea, Japan and China.
It was found that Song Hye Kyo's face is most preferred among the women.
She is widely acknowledged as the best face to represent Korea.
"In the latest cosmetic surgery craze sweeping China, Vietnam and even France, the foreigners want the same style as Song Hye Kyo," the plastic surgery specialists said.
Following Song Hye Kyo, in second place is newlywed (to Lee Byung Hun) actress Lee Min Jung. Another actress, Han Ga In rounds out the top three.
