Feb 2 2013

many things that had occur and for this year, i would want to focus on completing my PHD and also improving myself

few days ago as i start getting my studies on track "again" i spoke to one of my master's classmate.. initially to get some help and also information but the meeting turn out to be more than just "hey, how u been doing"

we talked more

we spoke about education, our life philosophy (lol), our goals and aim, politics, religion and also retirement

i was never the type of guy that when having conversation, talk about games, sports, girls, gossips, or silly things that doesn't go anywhere, nor do i like listening much to people talking about their dreams but have no clue on how to achieve it (i called those omong-omong kosong)

anyway, he spoke to me about retirement... he's 45 and i'm 29 by the way.. though it's a bit far fetch for me to talk about retirement, i replied that i have no intention on retiring. His eyes widen and said that we should all be enjoying our life and not work till we die... i agree, however who say work has to be a pain in the ass...

though workload is heavy initially, it will be easy as time goes by.. and by the way, i am enjoying my work.. it was never my intention to retire early but it is in my plan to have an easy workload later in life

its then we spoke of salary, bonuses, properties, shares, investments and also businesses

i gave him my honest opinion in a very businessman point of view.. let's just say we agree to disagree

i came to my own realization that when we no longer chase money, it is then we start to appreciate nature and things we like to do.. money is very important however, when we no longer need to get headache because of it.. stepping out of the rat race for a moment let us see things very differently

i'm not the type that try to convince myself that money is secondary.. it is very important, people kill for it, people cheat for it, and family bond break because of it..

so long as mindset is right... whatever things we do will also be right, that is important above anything else

a primary school mate msg me via fb today and asked me about a job

i feel a bit bad for him that he is going nowhere... and he is already 29

i offered him a position in my company, i'm not sure what will happen or how it will goes but i hope with the right attitude, he can change his living lifestyle

persistence and hard work is so important too..

i have seen many people in their 30's or going into their 30's still floating around... not knowing where to go or what to do..

To Ms. Dolce,

Waste time in self-improvement and not on peers that make your life stationary. If you have lost your way, engage in topics that makes you think critically,it will let you find your way again. Don't underestimate the power of our will and brain. Don't waste time on silly things. However i know eventually it will work out for you as you tend to always find the way.

I will be there if you ever turn around

:)

i am of course never the smartest people around but at least i am a person who never stop trying to improve myself.. i might sound odd and out of this planet.. sometimes with a bad anger management however i knew with the current work rate... i will able to do better next time around..

a week to go before i stop being a vegan

definitely would want to do this in the long run..

Yes, Yes, Yes
